Free tool · no signup

Check whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot can reach, read and cite your website — in about ten seconds.

We fetch your home page, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap from our server. Nothing is stored.

What we check

Five things AI engines need before they can cite you

1 · Crawler access

Your robots.txt, HTTP status and robots directives, checked separately for each AI crawler. A named robots.txt group replaces the “*” rules — we catch groups that accidentally skip them.

2 · Readable without JavaScript

How much of the page exists in the HTML itself. Most AI crawlers don’t run scripts, so client-rendered content is invisible to them.

3 · Answer-readiness

Headings, question-style sections, a direct opening answer, lists, dates and contact details — the passages assistants lift into answers.

4 · Entity & structured data

Whether the page clearly says who you are: valid JSON-LD, an Organization or LocalBusiness with profile links, and link previews.

5 · Discovery & speed

An accurate sitemap, optional llms.txt and Markdown versions, and how fast your server answers our request.

Honest note: Google’s own guidance (May 2026) is that AI Overviews and AI Mode use the same systems as Search — there is no special “AI file” or schema that forces a citation. This tool finds the technical blockers; answer engine optimisation is the work that earns the citation.

Questions

About the checker

Does a good score mean ChatGPT will cite my business?
No — and be wary of anyone who promises that. This checks whether search and AI engines can reach, read and understand your page. Whether they cite you also depends on how well you answer the question, your Google Business Profile and reviews, and what other sites say about you.
Which AI crawlers do you check?
OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User (ChatGPT), Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User (Claude), PerplexityBot (Perplexity), Googlebot (Google Search, AI Overviews and AI Mode), Bingbot (Bing and Copilot), Applebot, Meta-WebIndexer (Meta AI in WhatsApp and Instagram), plus the training crawlers GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended and CCBot.
Why does “readable without JavaScript” matter?
Most AI crawlers download your HTML but do not run JavaScript. If your content only appears after scripts run (common with some site builders and single-page apps), those crawlers see an almost empty page.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
It is optional. Google has said Search does not use it, and studies in 2026 found most llms.txt files are rarely requested. Coding assistants and some agents do read it, so it is cheap to add — but it will not move rankings by itself.
Is my data stored?
We fetch the page, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap from our server, score them and show you the result. Nothing is saved unless you ask us to email the report, in which case we keep your name, email and the score so we can reply.
